Tempest Leake
Dr. Leake is a wife, mother of three, author, coach, and educator. She is a North Carolina native who has spent 14 years in education. Her career in education includes being a science teacher, instructional facilitator, testing coordinator, assistant principal, and currently a UNC-Charlotte, North Carolina new teacher support coach. Dr. Leake is passionate about the education and fair treatment of black girls, especially in rural areas. She has devoted her time to mentoring, coaching, and guiding young Black students to be the best version of themselves. Her youngest son is autistic and makes her even more passionate about the work of the NC Black Disabilities Network.
